Less than an hour from Melbourne you can ride inside a state of the art gondola, with scenic views above the Mornington Peninsula, across Port Phillip Bay, towards the Melbourne city skyline and beyond.
As you enjoy your flight surrounded by the Australian landscape you may even spot some native animals.
Named in honour of the Wedge-tailed Eagle, indigenous to the area and revered in local Aboriginal lore, the gondola experience is one of flight. Visitors glide above and past the trees, travelling in comfortable, all weather and fully accessible cabins. It’s an awe-inspiring journey as you ascend quietly up Arthurs Seat to the summit station.
Gliding quietly through the sky in a gondola at Arthurs Seat Eagle, you could be forgiven for thinking you’ve been transported a million miles away, rather than one hour’s drive from Melbourne. With uninterrupted views, framed by swaying Manna Gums, grazing kangaroos and the trace of distant coastlines, you are immersed in a truly majestic Australian landscape.
At the summit you can enjoy a casual dining experience at The Eagle Café with amazing views and an expansive outdoor deck. You’ll also find locally inspired giftware as well as fun souvenirs to remember your visit.
A return trip takes approximately 30 minutes but you could stay up to 2 hours exploring the nearby walks at Seawinds Gardens within the Arthurs Seat State Park.
