Eagle Skylift Arthurs Seat
Select Language

On Saturday 2nd February 2019, the Jayco Herald Sun Tour cycling race will pass through the Arthurs Seat area.

This is a unique day and situation that will have some of the roads surrounding the Arthurs Seat Eagle closed – either completely or as part of managed rolling road closures. Many of these closures will be intermittent at specific times throughout the day.

The main Arthurs Seat Road (up the hill) will be closed all day.

Please note that we are still OPEN!

However to access both the Base and Summit Stations you will need to allow for additional time to ensure you can arrive and park safely.

Our recommendation is that you utilise the travelling options offered by the race organiser or the alternate car parking at Arthurs Seat:

To assist with access to Arthurs Seat the race organisers will be offering a FREE Park n Ride Service to the Arthurs Seat Eagle Base StationPark your car in the Dromana Drive-In  and board a shuttle bus to the Base Station, where you can then make your way to the top of Arthurs Seat by foot or by purchasing a ticket to ride on the Arthurs Seat Eagle chairlift. Following the event, the shuttle buses will take you from the Arthurs Seat Eagle Base Station back to the Dromana Drive-In to make your return trip home. This service operates strictly between 11am – 6pm. For more information visit the event website www.heraldsuntour.com.au

For access to the Arthurs Seat Eagle Summit Station: you can access the Seawinds Gardens car park via Purves Road.  From here it is a short stroll along shaded pathways to the café and summit station.
