As Arthurs Seat Eagle’s Project and Finance Manager, Sunayana Addanki understands the importance of managing resources wisely. She also believes that the experience of soaring through the treetops and immersing yourself in nature’s beauty is truly priceless.
We recently sat down with Sunayana to discuss how the proposed plans will enrich the visitor experience offering more things to do during their time in the Mornington Peninsula.
With improved facilities and environmental design initiatives forming part of proposed upgrades, Arthurs Seat Eagle is striving to make the precinct an even more memorable destination on the Mornington Peninsula for visitors and locals alike.
Light touch luge
A unique addition to the proposed plans which Sunayana is particularly excited about, is the luge ride which will use a “light touch” construction method to ensure the landscape remains protected during and after development.
“The luge is hands down my favourite part of the masterplan. Riding a luge years ago in Germany was unforgettable, and I’m thrilled that we’ll be able to offer that same joy at Arthurs Seat Eagle. It’s a fresh, close-to-the-ground way to take in the beauty of the beautiful State Park and surrounds,” Sunayana said.
Gateway Experience Centre
Another feature of the proposed upgrades is the creation of a Gateway Experience Centre at the Arthurs Seat Eagle Base Station. This sensory and interactive space will allow visitors of all ages to learn and appreciate the region’s rich history and unique ecology through an immersive experience.
“The Gateway Experience Centre is about adding value for visitors and creating a space where everyone can learn, enjoy and make the most of their time at the Eagle,” she said.
Sustainable solutions
The proposed upgrades reflect Arthurs Seat Eagle’s commitment to sustainability. From the outset, we have worked closely with ecologists and sustainability consultants, to minimise environmental impact. For example, the luge will use minimal concrete and incorporate wildlife-friendly underpasses to protect the native species that call Arthurs Seat home.
“Our team takes pride in sharing the beauty of this incredible place, and you can see it in every interaction we have with each other. These upgrades are all about building on that experience while staying true to what makes the Eagle unique .”
With the proposed upgrades, Arthurs Seat Eagle is poised to offer visitors even more reasons to return, combining adventure, sustainability, and community in a way that celebrates the region’s natural beauty and spirit.
