Where Spring Takes Flight
19 September to 4 October
There’s a new reason to look down from the Eagle this spring!
Ride above the bushland to discover large-scale Earthwork Art Installations beneath the gondola line, then make a day of it with family entertainment, live music, cafe specials and spectacular views across Port Phillip Bay.
Earthwork Art Installations
Look down as you fly above Arthurs Seat. Created especially for the Eagle by renowned Mornington Peninsula artist Father Marker, four large-scale Earthwork Art Installations celebrate birds, movement and the wonder of flight.
Formed from stone and natural materials, and inspired by the Nazca Lines in Peru – each artwork has been designed to reveal itself from above: an unexpected outdoor gallery encountered from the gondola!
Included with every standard gondola ticket for a limited time only.
Spring Activity Sheet
Collect a free Spring Activity Sheet before you board and become an Eagle art explorer! Keep watch beneath the gondola line, spot the earthworks and enjoy a little creative fun along the way.
Available to collect from the Base and Summit Stations throughout the school holidays before you board.

Settle in for an easy spring afternoon with live music at the Summit. Enjoy local sounds, café favourites and sweeping bay views: the perfect accompaniment to a gondola ride and a wander through the State Park!
